About Susan

Susan Young, LMFT, RN has been in practice for over twenty years working with families, couples, and individuals.

In earlier career paths, Susan trained and worked as a nurse in community settings from newborn nurseries to hospice and in outpatient behavioral health programs and inpatient settings. She then received her counseling training at Northeastern Illinois University and the Professional Training program at the University of Chicago, CCFH. After graduating, she chose to specialize in Marriage and Family Counseling and started her own business.

You will find that by working through anxiety, grief, and conflictual communication with Susan, hope will emerge, and you will develop a lasting, loving relationship.

As a practitioner of couples therapy, I do not use diagnosis as a way to achieve goal fulfillment.  As an independent, non-contractual practitioner, I do not participate in insurance panels. I can offer a super bill that you can submit to your insurance company.

I am HIPPA-compliant and use a HIPPA-compliant telehealth platform. Please request to see my privacy practices for further information.

Send me an email, and I will get back to you as soon as possible to discuss counseling.

Looking forward to speaking with you!
