Pre-Marital Course

The best kind of therapy is prevention. This course is intended for those engaged, newlyweds, or couples considering commitment, as well as those in a new relationship and up to about five years. It is offered per telehealth platform, privately conducted, just the therapist and the couple. It is specific to the couple as there is a pre-assessment tool to be completed at least four days before the scheduled course is to begin. There is time for coffee and questions. There are thirteen topics including learning how to communicate, teaching your partner how to listen, handling expectations, finances, sex, extended family, children, religion, intimacy, rituals and holidays, roles, and other areas as a pre-cohabitation conversation.  This workshop can nip in the bud potential challenges by addressing them before the big day. There is the ability to extend this workshop as needed. Handouts, access to videos, a reading list, a tool kit, and a certificate of completion are provided that can be offered as a marriage preparation course.

This will also be helpful in the future should you choose to have children and will give them a better chance for a happy childhood with happy parents who keep a harmonious home. It is one of the best predictors of a happy childhood.

Gift certificates are available.

A Spanish translator is also available.
